Everyone needs relief from pain and stress in life. Every-one needs care and safe, nurturing human touch for health and well being. Massage is the ultimate expression of human connection and wellness.
Hi. My name is Mark Abberley and I work in as a Massage Practitioner in Seattle in a clinical rehab setting for a large health care system. Ours is a very progressive facility that contains an Acupuncture / Wellness clinic and a large variety of other services, as well as having an on-site physician.
In this setting I work with staff and community members who are seen in our massage treatment room. I also make rounds to treat those who may be unable to make it down to our private treatment room in the physical therapy gym. My work has been with a large and diverse population.
To make massage therapy available to more people, I am available to come to your home in the Seattle area. I am available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the day; Saturdays and Sundays during late afternoon to early evening.
Massage can bring relief from a wide variety of illnesses, but is most effective in resolving soft tissue problems such as muscular, tendon, ligament, and facial tensions. In short, properly done massage therapy breaks up and resolves spasms and knots. Massage is very effective at reducing mental fatigue and stress. People report feeling "grounded," feeling like themselves again - relaxed and pain-free.
Complete pain relief depends on the individual. There are many factors in achieving one's health goals - age, general health, severity of problems, etc. Generally speaking though, people who try massage are very satisfied.
I would especially like to invite those of you who are in any physical, muscular pain or stress and have never used massage as a form of pain relief to try my work. I accept clients of any age. (If children are in need of treatment, they must be accompanied by a parent.) Often one or just a few sessions will do it. Sometimes long-term therapy is needed.
