The Basics
I travel no more than 20 miles from home in Seattle.
Available Tuesday, Wednesday during the day -
Saturday and Sunday late afternoons to early evenings.
What about credentials?
I am a Graduate (LMP) of Brenneke School of Massage and have been in practice for 10 years
(License #MA11372). References will be provided to you upon request. When choosing a massage practitioner, make sure your practitioner is properly trained and licensed. Don't be timid - it's ok to ask them to see their credentials. Ask where they went to school and how long they have been in practice. By all means, make sure you feel comfortable with your practitioner. This relationship is about your health and well-being.
What can I expect at a session?
Our treatment relationship starts with an intake interview. Obtaining a brief history about you allows me to assess what your needs are and to become aware of the goals you wish to achieve. If necessary, we will conduct muscle testing to determine any injuries we will be addressing.
A comfortable, warmed massage table awaits. I leave the room so you can undress in private. It's ok to leave on undergarments if you wish. Once you are on the table and covered, I return and begin your massage. At no time are you exposed, other than your back or the limb being worked on.
I can offer you the following types of massage:
• Swedish (and all variations on this theme) - The most common, working predominately with muscles and soft tissue to reduce tension and produce a state of relaxation.
• Body Enhancement - Used to stretch and release muscle tissue and fascia to create freedom and flexibility of movement.
• Connective Tissue Release - relieves restriction in an area that is negatively impacting other areas of the body
• Trager - Gentle, non-intrusive, natural movements for increased mobility and deep relaxation.
• DeGriefing Massage - Relief from emotional distress, mental anguish, and physical discomfort
• Reflexology - Pressure applied to reflex points of the feet, which helps to achieve balance to corresponding areas of the body.Massage therapy is about feeling physically and mentally better. Tension melts away and yields to a state of harmony.
How long will this take?
Massage treatment can continue for long as the client feels necessary. If you simply want to try it once, great. If you want to continue treatments, you can go with my recommendations or decide to receive massage on whatever schedule suits your needs. I'm here to help you achieve your goal. There is never any obligation or pressure to receive more sessions than you want.
What will treatment sessions cost?An average 60 minute private practice session costs $60.00 with an additional $30.00 fee for my travel to your house. We can also arrange a reasonable sliding scale. Payment is cash only, paid up front.
